I’m shocked. Shocked, I tell you. I’d never imagine that nice Mr. Musk would do that… Oh? He’s been a total ass to workers at his other companies too you say? No, say it isn’t so…
That seems mild compared to hourly firings of employees across tech companies happening 24/7 because workers either stand up for themselves or reject unethical, illegal, toxic behavior the company is guilty of. WITH NO LEGAL RECOURSE.
Intervening in labor organizing gets taken seriously, because it tends to prevent more workers from standing up for themselves, and so is quite well protected in law even in the US, hence why it’s the NLRB that has filed the case, not the individual employee.
It’s still mild compared to the daily abuses going on across the tech industry because they institutionalize unethical, toxic, abusive behaviors and call them culture.
“Abuse also happens elsewhere” isn’t a moral justification for downplaying it when they’re actually being pursued for breaking the law.
My point is people don’t give a fuck about the very real crimes going on on the daily. So I really don’t give a about the whining about one specific company because of Elon fucking Musk. Everyone fine with the current status quo at tech companies but ranting and raving about this one are full of shit.
Cool. I do give a fuck about the very real crimes going on. Including this one, and so I’m not going to ignore this one because some people are concerned only when it’s Musk.
